Wishing and hoping and thinking and praying

And waiting. So yea chemo is done for this cycle and now we have to wait and see how she responds and really really hope that she does not get any kind of infection as Marion currently has pretty much no defense. Overall, we think it is working. Her lymph node in her leg that had been enlarged feels smaller to the doctor and her skin is improving a lot. Her liver numbers came down a little - still high tho but coming down is the right direction. She was opening her eyes a lot yesterday and the eye doctor has said her eyes look good so there are lots of good things but we also know that if things turn bad, they can turn very quickly and have drastic consequences. We are crossing our fingers and toes and not sneezing for the next few weeks while we hope to see her body's immune system kick in like it should.

    That's great that things are going in the right direction. Here's hoping (and wishing and thinking and praying) that they continue going in the right direction and that no infections or anything else come in. I also hope that her immune system kicks back into gear soon so that you can hold her and give her all the cuddles that you all need.

    Seems like everyone has already said whatever I might want to say. Marion's Dad did tell me that she was not listening to him on how to do all this. And I wondered later why nobody told him that daughters rarely listen to their dads. They just pretend to - out of love and respect - and then they go do their own thing. I don't know what little Miss Marion thinks her "thing" is at this point, but I am praying - like countless other people - that it is in line with what her Dad is wishing for.
